The IIT Delhi curriculum was revised for UG, PG and Ph.D. programmes, and the new version has run since the 2025-26 academic year. It applies to all IIT Delhi courses. For undergraduates, the main themes are flexibility and hands-on learning. The curriculum also stresses environment and sustainability, creative expression, ethical reasoning and new technology such as AI and machine learning.
Every UG student also takes foundation courses in basic sciences, humanities and social sciences, and engineering sciences. IIT Delhi built the curriculum after feedback from thousands of students, alumni and industry experts. IIT Delhi courses are reviewed about every ten years.
The IIT Delhi undergraduate courses are the B.Tech., the Dual Degree, the B.S. in Chemistry and the B.Des. Each of these IIT Delhi courses needs a Class 12 pass. IIT Delhi has no UG course in management.
