IIT Delhi placements run through the Office of Career Services (OCS) and cover B.Tech, Dual Degree, M.Tech, MBA and other programmes. The latest median figures are for the batch that graduated in 2024-25. The latest season data is for 2025-26, and that season was planned to run till the end of May 2026. The IIT Delhi placement details below come from the NIRF 2026 data sheet and IIT Delhi press releases. Read the four points first, because they decide how to read every number on this page.

No. The IIT Delhi placement rate reached about 83% in the four-year B.Tech batch of 2024-25: 818 of 986 graduating students were placed. In the same batch, 73 chose higher studies. The IIT Delhi exit survey 2024 shows why. Of 2,656 graduates, 53.1% reported a job offer, 13.5% chose higher studies and about 12% were preparing for exams.
IIT Delhi does not give one report for all courses, so use three official places. The NIRF 2026 data sheet that IIT Delhi published has the B.Tech, Dual Degree and PG medians. The IIT Delhi press releases have the season updates. The DMS placement reports page has the MBA report.
The IIT Delhi placement highlights for the 2025-26 season cover all programmes together, counted by December 2025. The offers include pre-placement offers (PPOs).

OCS expected more companies in the later phase of the season. The December update is the latest count in IIT Delhi's press releases.
In the IIT Delhi placement 2026 season, more than 1,140 individual students had a job by December 2025. That is the count of students, and the 1,275 is the count of offers. One student can hold more than one offer, so the two numbers differ.
The earlier IIT Delhi placement release for 2024-25 covers UG students only. The IIT Delhi placement highlights for that season were about 850 unique offers by 17 April 2025. The same release gives 712 for 2022, 768 for 2023 and 781 for 2024. Those figures are for UG students alone, so do not compare them with the 1,275 for all programmes.
The IIT Delhi placement statistics for three batches show a B.Tech median that dipped and then recovered. The Dual Degree and PG medians rose. The tabs below give IIT Delhi placement details 2026 for each programme from the NIRF 2026 data sheet. NIRF counts students placed out of those who graduated in the minimum time.
2022-23: 676 of 835 placed, median Rs 20,00,000. 2023-24: 711 of 946 placed, median Rs 19,08,000. 2024-25: 818 of 986 placed, median Rs 20,00,000. Higher studies: 50, 49 and 73 students.
The B.Tech placement percentage was about 81% for the batch of 2022-23, 75% for 2023-24 and 83% for 2024-25. The Dual Degree figure was about 94% in 2024-25. The PG figure was about 83% in both of the last two batches, but it was below 50% in 2022-23. These IIT Delhi placement statistics count only students who graduated on time. IIT Delhi placement details for students who left early are not published.
Yes. The median for the four-year B.Tech rose from Rs 19,08,000 to Rs 20,00,000, the same as in 2022-23. The batch grew from 946 to 986 graduates, and more students were placed. The Dual Degree median rose by Rs 5,70,000 to Rs 30,00,000.
The IIT Delhi placement package that is officially published is the median. Only the MBA also gets an IIT Delhi average package and a highest figure. IIT Delhi says it does not mention high-value packages in its press releases. So no IIT Delhi placement package above the median is official, and no IIT Delhi highest placement package for B.Tech exists. The NIRF data sheet gives medians for B.Tech, Dual Degree and PG, as the statistics section shows.
The IIT Delhi highest placement package for B.Tech is not published. Crore-level figures on social media and listing sites are not from the institute. The one official IIT Delhi highest placement package is for the MBA. The DMS placement report gives Rs 43,55,300 for the batch of 2023-25.
| MBA batch 2023-25 | Package |
|---|---|
| Median | Rs 22,50,782 |
| Average | Rs 22,52,966 |
| Female average | Rs 23,28,717 |

The DMS report states 98% placement for the batch. Students enter this MBA through CAT for IIT Delhi MBA. The report splits roles by sector. Strategy and consulting take 30.07% and information technology 23.78%. Sales and marketing take 19.58% and finance 10.49%. HR and general management take 8.39%, and operations and supply chain 7.69%.
There is no IIT Delhi average package for B.Tech, Dual Degree or M.Tech. Use the median, which is Rs 20,00,000 for the four-year B.Tech of 2024-25. For the MBA, the DMS report gives an IIT Delhi average package of Rs 22,52,966 for the batch of 2023-25.
IIT Delhi publishes placement data by programme, not by branch. IIT Delhi placements for each course are therefore not available as official numbers. The table shows what exists.

Branch-wise medians for Computer Science and Engineering or Electrical Engineering are not in the official sources used here.
The institute does not publish a branch ranking, so no IIT Delhi placement figure answers this question. Ask the department office for the last batch's offers before you choose a branch.
